A week after the Indian Express exposed the dirty deeds of the Election Commission – the story refuses to die down. The mess created by Gyanesh Kumar just keeps getting bigger. Despite the EC trying to issue a detailed ‘clarification’ – the questions keep mounting and the attacks from the opposition keep getting sharper… The scale of the scam at EC is becoming evident from the voter deletions, illegal Form 6, electoral roll manipulation, internal disagreements and to total lack of transparency.
But the worst news for the BJP is a splintered opposition trying to come together on the issue of Gyanesh Kumar. The India Bloc leaders met and there is month long agitation planned – the CJP is intending to start from Mumbai before going national with the protest.
If the opposition manages to come together on this – then its serious trouble for Modi Govt.
Will holding on to Gyanesh – prove too costly for the BJP?
