Piyava / Onion Tambuli is one of the favourite dishes in the Konkani GSB community. very very easy to make and very tasty to eat. Tambali makes a good communication with rice & fried 🍤 🐟 fish for non vegetarian people. Kande Tamboli is made from only 5 ingredients (coconut, dry red chillies, tamarind, onion and salt) and served with rice. Simple and very easy to make as no gas is required. Tastes amazing.
Amchigele Piyava Tambuli Tambali
Ingredients:
Onion (chopped) 1/2 cup
Coconut (grated) 1 cup
Tamarind extract 1 tsp
Red chillies 4 to 5
Salt
Method:
Grind together coconut, tamarind and red chillies to a very smooth paste, adding sufficient water.
In a bowl, take paste add onion, salt and water mix well.
Serve with rice.
(This gravy is not cooked. So keep it refrigerated. Remove from refrigerator 1/2 an hour before serving
