In today’s video, I’m sharing Kadgi Chakko — a traditional GSB Konkani delicacy made with tender raw jackfruit, aromatic coconut masala, and simple coastal flavors. This authentic recipe from Coastal Karnataka is comforting, flavorful, and pairs beautifully with hot rice and dalitoy.
The raw jackfruit is steamed and gently mixed with a freshly roasted masala prepared using red chillies, coriander seeds, methi, urad dal, hing, and coconut, then finished with a fragrant coconut oil tempering.
