Utkarsh Non Woven Geotextile Fabric is made with high quality of polyester or polypropylene staple fibres and these are UV resistant, effective in reinforcing and protecting granular layers. It performs various functions such as soil retention, filtration and drainage. Resistant to UV rays, extreme temperature and chemicals Can be used in aggressive environments High tensile strength Provides cushion protection in roads Highly permeable that allow high water flow during soil retention. An effective way to conserve water and soil and prevent piping. Non-woven fabrics have the characteristics of being moisture-proof, breathable, flexible, lightweight, non-combustible, easy to decompose, non-toxic and non-irritating, rich in color, low in price, and recyclable. How to use geotextile for plantation purpose: First spread drain cell or mat on the constructed surface. Cover entire area of drain cell or mat with geotextile 120 GSM. Stick it with adhesive if you are not going to put gravel or soil immediately. Put 1-2 inch layer of gravel and then put soil.
Soil Retention and Erosion Control: Geotextiles serve as an effective barrier against soil erosion in landscaping and gardening projects. When used with drain cells or mats, they stabilize the soil by preventing its displacement while allowing excess water to drain away, ensuring optimal conditions for plant growth.
Root Protection and Growth: Geotextiles create a protective layer that facilitates healthy root growth. When used in combination with drain cells or mats, they create a controlled environment that allows roots to spread and penetrate while protecting against damage from excess moisture or compaction.
Water Management: Geotextiles, in conjunction with drain cells or mats, aid in efficient water management by allowing excess water to drain away, preventing waterlogging and ensuring proper aeration within the soil. This controlled drainage helps maintain an optimal moisture level for plant growth.
Weed Control: Geotextiles act as a barrier, suppressing weed growth by blocking sunlight and preventing weed seeds from reaching the soil. When combined with drain cells or mats, they create a weed-resistant layer, reducing the need for herbicides and manual weeding in landscaping and gardening areas.
Longevity and Sustainability: When used in landscaping and gardening, geotextiles enhance the durability and longevity of the project by providing a stable base for plant beds and pathways. Paired with drain cells or mats, they contribute to sustainable gardening practices by promoting proper drainage, reducing soil compaction, and ensuring healthier growing conditions for plants over the long term.
