Ingredients

250 g Thunder Mushrooms (Bhumpode / Gadgade Alambe)

1 small Field Marrow (Mangalore Cucumber), peeled and cubed

1 large onion (for cooking)

1 cup freshly grated coconut

5 dried red chillies

½ tsp turmeric powder

A small piece of tamarind (optional)

Salt to taste

Water, as required

For Tempering

2 tbsp coconut oil

1 medium onion, thinly sliced

Best served with: String hoppers (rice noodles), dosa, idli, or steamed rice.
