Quick recipe
Roast the brinjal on open fire. Once cooled peel it and mash it. Crush green chillies, small piece of tamarind and grated fresh coconut into a coarse mixture. Add it to the mashed brinjal, add asatoetida water, salt, some freshly grated coconut and some chopped coriander leaves. You can add chopped onions too.
Serve it with steaming hot rice and Dalitoy.
