रिपोर्ट्स के मुताबिक, तिब्बत के इलाके में सुबह 10:30 बजे ही यह भयंकर बाढ़ आ चुकी थी, लेकिन चीन ने जानबूझकर यह अहम जानकारी नेपाल सरकार से छिपाई। तिब्बत से नेपाल के प्रभावित इलाके की दूरी मात्र 25-30 किलोमीटर है। अगर चीन सिर्फ 45 मिनट पहले नेपाल को अलर्ट कर देता, तो वहां के प्रशासन को लोगों को सुरक्षित निकालने का पूरा मौका मिल जाता और सैकड़ों जानें बच सकती थीं।
