A tragic incident has taken place at the Nalgonda District General Hospital, where a woman named Mamatha, who had delivered a baby eight days ago, allegedly died by suicide. Mamatha and her husband Ramesh, residents of Chikatimamidi in Munugode mandal, already have three daughters. She had been admitted to the hospital for delivery and recently gave birth to a baby boy. As the newborn was slightly underweight, the baby was receiving treatment in the neonatal care unit. In the early hours, Mamatha reportedly left the maternity ward and was later found dead near the postmortem room. Following the incident, other mothers in the ward reportedly took turns feeding the crying newborn. The incident left patients, attendants and hospital staff deeply distressed.
