Weather Update Today | An extremely deep depression is likely to bring heavy to very heavy rainfall across South Bengal. A yellow alert has been issued for heavy rain in South 24 Parganas, while heavy rainfall is also forecast in East Midnapore, West Midnapore and Jhargram. Gusty winds of 40–50 kmph are expected, with rainfall likely to intensify from Thursday. Fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea until Friday, while North Bengal is also expected to see unsettled weather.
