Guidelines for Making Bodywash / Handwash from Soapy Twist Natural Castile Liquid Soap Base

Take the liquid concentrate in a sterilised and clean vessel. The base is made using oils and will have a natural aroma of oils. The viscosity of the Natural Liquid Castile Soap Base is low (It is thin). This base can also be diluted upto 10% with De-mineralised water as it is a concentrated base.We recommend you add fragrances (only water soluble fragrances will work) at a percentage between 1 to 2%. Stir the mixture for 5-15 min. There can be a possibility that solution may become opaque on adding certain fragrances.To dissolve the essential oils, pre-heat the base to 35 – 40°C then add the essential oils as required (0.3 – 0.5%) & stir for 5-15 minutes, or until the essential oils are fully dispersed or in some cases, fully dissolved.

Note : Liquid Castile Soap Base may become hazy in cold climate as it contains coconut oil which tends to become opaque in cold weather but that will not affect its performance. It will become clear as the weather becomes warmer.

Due to the nature of this base which is derived from natural oils, Additives such as essential oils can turn it very cloudy. Over time some of these ingredients may slowly dissolve so that the product looks slightly clearer, but others can agglomerate and make the product look hazy.The product may vary from batch to batch as it is natural product. It may be clear or translucent in appearance. How to Thicken Liquid Castile Soap Base

To thicken the Liquid Castile Soap Base , prepare 25% strength Salt Solution (eg. Mix 25g of Salt in 75g of water) then add this solution slowly into the Liquid Castile Soap Base. You can add upto 20% of this solution to get the desired thickness. The product may face loss of transparency but this will not impact its performance.
