बांदा से सामने आई यह हैरान कर देने वाली घटना आपको सोचने पर मजबूर कर देगी कि नशे की लत इंसान को किस हद तक ले जा सकती है।
अतर्रा कोतवाली क्षेत्र में एक कैदी, जिसे मंडल कारागार से पेशी के लिए लाया गया था, पुलिस को चकमा देकर फरार हो गया। उसने बाथरूम जाने का बहाना बनाया और मौका मिलते ही दीवार फांदकर भाग निकला।
पूरे पुलिस महकमे में हड़कंप मच गया और तुरंत तीन टीमों का गठन कर उसकी तलाश शुरू की गई। आखिरकार आरोपी को फतेहगंज के जंगलों से गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया।
लेकिन असली चौंकाने वाली बात तब सामने आई जब आरोपी ने अपनी फरारी की वजह बताई। उसने कबूल किया कि वह नशे की लत से इतना मजबूर हो गया था कि जेल से भागने का जोखिम सिर्फ शराब पीने के लिए उठाया। फरार होने के बाद उसने पहले शराब पी, फिर ससुराल जाकर समय बिताया और अंत में जंगल में छिप गया।
यह घटना दिखाती है कि नशे की लत किस तरह इंसान की सोच और जिंदगी को पूरी तरह बदल सकती है।
