Originating from the Bengal region in the eastern part of the Indian subcontinent. It is traditionally made by the weavers from West Bengal, Tripura, and Assam’s Barak Valley.
It is considered to be the most comfortable fabric for the hot and humid climate in the Indian subcontinent.
