Multiple people have been injured after a plane used by NCP chief and Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar crashed during an emergency landing attempt at Baramati airport. It is unclear if Ajit Pawar was on board at the time, but reports say he was to fly to Baramati today to attend four important public meetings.
Visuals from the spot show mangled remains of the plane, and ambulances rushing the injured to nearby hospitals. More details on what prompted the emergency landing attempt are awaited.
