MANGALORE BUNS✨️❤️
RECIPE

INGREDIENTS:👇

Wheat flour- as required( 1½ cups-2 cups)
Cumin seeds- half tsp ( optional)
2 bananas( overripe is better)
Curd (or buttermilk) – 2 tbspns
2-3 spns sugar as per taste (or jaggery)
1pinch of salt
Oil for frying
Method:👇

In a bowl ,take a banana or 2, add sugar (or jaggery) & mash it well with hand or fork.Add curd, wheat flour, cumin seeds( optional)..Add a pinch of salt.. Mix well…
(Don’t use water).Mix well and knead to make smooth chapati like dough. If you feel dough is sticky add some wheat flour. Keep the dough covered.
Ferment for 8-9 hours( overnight. )
In the morning, heat some oil in a kadhai till medium hot for frying.
Meanwhile make small medium sized balls from the dough.Dust it with wheat flour and roll it into round poori shapes . The poori should be of medium thickness not too thick or thin
Once the oil is medium hot, put the poori in the oil for frying. When one sides puffs up and turns golden, turn the poori gently and fry the other side.
Fry it until it gets golden brown and turns crispy. . Transfer them one by one in a plate.(You can use paper napkins to absorb excess oil)
Serve the Mangalore buns with tea or coffee. You can also serve buns with chutney, dalitoy or vegetable kurma.
