In this episode of Khaane Mein Kya Hai, Kunal Vijayakar visits a legendary 58-year-old canteen in Worli that has now transformed into a cozy restaurant serving authentic Goud Saraswat Brahmin (GSB) home-style meals.
Kunal meets Chef and Owner Vikram Shenoy, who gives him a personal tour of the incredible coastal spread. The meal kicks off with a traditional Devasthan Saar, followed by the flavorful Goju Chicken—a tangy, spicy dish made with ground coconut masala and tamarind.
Next up is the crispy Surana Kaap, and a unique vegetarian twist—Peri Peri Kela Bhajji. Then comes a fusion favorite, Mangalorean Chicken Sukka Popcorn, followed by the indulgent Stuffed Pomfret Fry.
For the main course, Kunal dives into a hearty Chicken Ghassi Thali, featuring Dali Toy, Panpola, and Chicken Kokum Saar. He then tastes some traditional delights like Kadge Chakko, Ambe Sasam, and a comforting, spicy Prawn Pulao—all packed with nostalgic coastal flavors.
