The timing of the Pakistani airstrike, aimed to target Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan chief Noor Wali Mehsud, coincided with the Taliban Foreign Minister’s maiden visit to India. Recently Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif accused Afghanistan of harbouring anti-Pakistan militants, strongly indicates a retaliatory operation.
